POP's 86th Birthday Nautical and Patriotic Cupcakes

Friday the 28th of June was my dad's 86th birthday. The grandkids and great-grandkids call him POP. He is a retired Chief E-9 from the US Navy, therefore the nautical / partiotic theme. Sunday we celebrated a combination Father's Day / Birthday. These were the cute little cupcakes we served. The white ones are mini key lime pie cupcakes, the "sand" is crushed graham crackers and they are topped with our nautical cupcake picks. I used the star cupcake liners from our patriotic cupcake liner set.
The larger chocolate cupcakes are iced with peanut butter frosting. The "sand" is crushed Reese's Peanut Butter candies and the sea shells are actually candy coated chocolates. I used the
